Lithium Battery Development Trend---Prismatic Cylindrical Pouch Battery

According to the different manufacturing process of lithium battery cell, it can be divided

into 3 types: Prismatic Battery, Cylindrical Battery and Pouch Battery. Each type has its own

characteristics, reflecting the performance advantages and disadvantages of different types

of lithium batteries.

According to statistics, Chinese domestic lithium battery production reached 53gwh

in 2016, including 22% of the cylinder, 36% of soft package and 42% of square. 

Basically, it is three times the world.

It can be seen that cylindrical batteries are generally used in pure electric passenger

cars and low-speed vehicles; Soft battery can cover passenger cars, whether pure

electric or hybrid; Because of its high safety, square battery can be used in passenger

cars and commercial vehicles, whether pure electric or hybrid.
