104S ESS Cold Plate: The Core of Efficient Battery Thermal Management

As energy storage systems continue to evolve toward higher capacity and greater power density, thermal management has become a decisive factor in ensuring battery safety, efficiency, and service life. The 104S ESS cold plate is a high-performance liquid cooling solution specifically engineered for 1P104S battery modules, delivering stable and efficient thermal control for modern energy storage applications.

Manufactured from premium AL3003MOD aluminum through precision stamping and high-temperature brazing, the cold plate combines excellent thermal conductivity with outstanding structural strength and corrosion resistance. Measuring approximately 2230 mm × 1250 mm × 18 mm and weighing 54.3 kg, it provides a large heat exchange area while maintaining a lightweight and compact structure suitable for large-scale ESS integration.

The internal flow channel design has been carefully optimized to achieve uniform coolant distribution and highly efficient heat transfer. Under 0.5P charge and discharge conditions, the system maintains the maximum cell temperature below 35°C while controlling the temperature difference across the battery pack within 2°C. This significantly reduces the risk of localized overheating and thermal runaway, ensuring safer and more stable battery operation.

Operating efficiently with a coolant flow rate of 12–15 L/min, the cold plate maintains low flow resistance of only 36–38 kPa, helping reduce circulating pump power consumption and improving overall system energy efficiency. The combination of high thermal performance and low-pressure drop makes it particularly suitable for long-duration and high-cycle ESS applications.

To ensure long-term reliability, the 104S ESS cold plate undergoes rigorous leak testing and structural verification. Its robust sealing structure is designed to withstand continuous thermal cycling and demanding operating environments. In addition, the plate supports loads of up to 1400 kg with minimal deformation, making it ideal for grid-side energy storage systems, industrial ESS containers, and renewable energy supporting storage projects.

Compliant with RoHS 2.0 and UL94-V0 standards, the product also meets strict environmental protection and fire safety requirements. By delivering efficient heat dissipation, improved temperature consistency, and enhanced operational safety, the 104S ESS cold plate serves as a critical foundation for reliable, long-lasting, and high-performance energy storage systems in the rapidly growing new energy industry.
